About Us

The Charitable Trust was formed in the 1990s and is currently composed of a day care centre and a charity shop.

The Wellington Cottage Care Centre first opened in January 2002 and occupies the site of the former Wellington Cottage Hospital, which closed in 1990. The centre provides support for ADULTS WITH NURSING CARE NEEDS. Please see Our Centre for more information.

The Wellington Cottage Care Charity Shop on Crown Street generates income towards the funds of the Trust to support the Centre, meet maintenance costs, repairs and other necessities.  Donations of items for sale are gratefully received.  Opening hours are available on the contact us page.

The Wellington Cottage Care Staff:
At the Day Care Centre we have a registered nurse on duty at all times along with a team of trained health care assistants, therapists, tutors, volunteers and drivers.
