Wash-upper Needed!

Wellington Cottage Care Trust has an exclusive position to offer any washer-upper lover!
We are appealing for a dinnertime volunteer to wash-up weekdays in our day care centre on Haygate Road in Wellington (approximately 5 hours a week).
If you have a spare pair of marigold gloves and love to meet new dishes, please come and visit the Wellington Cottage Care kitchen today!
In return we will offer you plenty of washing up liquid, lots of dirty dishes and (last but not least) a free two-course meal everyday.
Experience is not essential although a smile is preferred!

Appeals for Donations & Volunteers

Fundraising Promotion for Bathroom Adaptations The Trust relies on fundraising and donations and is currently working towards raising £2000 to adapt the bathroom facilities at the centre.
Fundraising For Patio Area The Trust is also working towards raising £1000 to reslab the patio area to make it safer and more attractive for our guests.
"Friends of the Cottage" The Trust is also appealing for volunteers to form a “Friends of the Cottage” group, if you have some spare time and would like to help your local charity then please contact us today.
Online Donations Wellington Cottage Care can now accept charitable donations online at www.wellingtoncare.org.uk. Online donations are accepted via Visa, Master Card, Visa Electron, Direct Debit etc and are securely processed via PayPal, however should you wish to make a regular donation by standing order you can contact the admin team on 01952 261333.
Free Trial Days

Wellington Cottage Care is awarding free gift vouchers to adults who may be interested in attending our day care centre. The voucher admits one care guest to attend their day centre for a free trial day.
During the day you will receive a free two-course lunch, professional nursing care support should you need help bathing etc, free access to our tutor-led workshops which offer mixed arts and craft sessions plus a whole lot more. Wellington Cottage Care even has it’s own choir and drama group for instance and in some cases we may also be able to offer transport to collect you and return you home safely.
The care centre is for adults with physical and/or mental disabilities and everyone is welcomed into the group gently and sensitively.
Maggi Ferriday the centres General Manager says ‘We are offering a beautiful homely environment, and have a wonderful range of rooms, including a games room for those who like pool or dominoes, or a nice small lounge, for those who prefer peace and quiet’.
The care centre currently has exclusive places to offer new guests and we are promoting with this by offering free trial days to those interested.

Wellington Cottage Care Summer Fair Appeal for Raffle Prizes

Wellington Cottage is appealing for raffle prizes and fundraisers for our summer fair which will be held on 13th August 2008. We are a registered charity and as such rely on fundraising activities and support from the local community. All the funds go towards helping to maintain our adult day care centre and furthering their charitable aims. Guests to put on Holiday Songs Show
Guests at the centre are currently rehearsing hard for a Holiday Songs show which will be performed on 22nd August 2008.
